With a total investment of over 100 million yuan and 256 beds, it is a designated neurology specialist hospital for Beijing's tertiary medical insurance. The hospital is mainly focused on neurosurgery, with complete sub specialty settings and 8 wards equipped with medical equipment such as a hundred level clean operating room, laminar flow ICU, 306 channel magnetoencephalography, Rosa robot surgical navigation system, etc.

In April 2023, the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission approved the project of Capital Medical University Sanbo Brain Hospital upon application. The Sanbo Brain Hospital of Capital Medical University, with a total construction area of approximately 63167 square meters, will be located in Chaoyang District and is expected to be completed and put into use by the end of 2025.
